The Pillars
Amicitia Reddit Honores!
What discerns the Pillars from other guilds?
The Pillars works democratically. Greater decisions are voted about. Every member is free to venture his/her opinion about any subject or idea. Since Oberin guilds work this way, the leader has the last word. However, one musn't forget that even if the leader is the head, the whole guild is the body and none works without the other. The leader may be put in question and a new leader may be elected in case of trouble or retirement. If it is to make people join, every member is entitled to vote about the applicant.
The majority's vote counts in any way.
An applicant should...
- Want to join this guild
It's always nice to see people trying to get more members for the guild, but if the applicant shouldn't want to join the guild there should be no trouble respecting this. - Be active
An applicant should be active, but not only on Oberin! Checking the forum and being available on iChat/AIM is an important for communication and communication is an essential point in a democracy! - Be trustworthy!
We are a guild, a bunch of friends - and friends are the family we choose. In a family as in friendship there are private things and there are public things. One should have the sensitivity to know the difference between the two. Friendship is built on trust after all. And friends should be reliable. Stealing stuff from your friends is just inappropriate. - Be polite
Politeness is our best promotion and in any case there can be no defence like elaborate courtesy. - Share his/her wealth with the guild and follow the guild hall rules
The commun chests in the hall are to be used like a communal bank. If you wish to have a private chest, go ahead and purchase one!
If you are accepted into the Pillars, you can follow this link >>to the guild hall rules.<<
Reasons to be kicked for...
- Giving the guild a bad reputation through your actions or inactions
- Being rude to Game Masters
- Misusing the guild hall
- Looting corpses and refusing to give back the items to their owner
- Killing a player deliberately and mischievously outside of the PvP island through luring creatures towards the player, setting traps etc.
- Breaking the Terms of Service of Oberin
